We only collect data that is necessary to run our business, provide support, and improve our software.

  • Website Analytics (Google Analytics 4): When you browse our site, we use GA4 to collect anonymous usage data (e.g., pages visited, browser type, device type, and generalized location). We have IP anonymization enabled. This helps us understand how users interact with our site so we can improve our marketing and user experience.
  • Purchase Information: When you buy our plugin, we collect your name, email address, and billing address to issue your software license and provide support.
  • Payment Data: We do not store your credit card details. All transactions are securely processed by our Merchant of Record ([Insert Lemon Squeezy OR Freemius]). They act as the payment processor and handle all sensitive financial data and VAT compliance.
  • Plugin Telemetry (If applicable): If you opt-in upon installing the plugin, we may collect non-sensitive diagnostic data (e.g., PHP version, WordPress version, plugin version) to help us troubleshoot bugs and guide future development.

 
3. Third-Party Data Processors
We share your data only with trusted third-party services required to operate our business:

  • [Lemon Squeezy / Freemius]: For processing payments, managing subscriptions, and generating license keys.
  • Google Analytics: For analysing website traffic and performance.
  • OpenAI (via the Plugin): Please note that when you use the WP-AI Assistant plugin on your website, the prompts and data entered into the chat widget are sent directly to OpenAI via your personal API key. We do not intercept, store, or have access to the chat logs generated on your individual WordPress websites.

 
4. Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses cookies essential for core functionality (like keeping you logged into your account or remembering your cart) and non-essential cookies for analytics (Google Analytics). You can manage or disable non-essential cookies via your browser settings or our website’s cookie consent banner.

5. Data Retention
We keep your account and license data for as long as you have an active subscription with us. If you cancel your subscription, we retain basic billing records for legal and tax compliance purposes (up to 7 years in the UK), after which it is securely deleted.
